Sharron Christie

Principal Dentist/Owner
Sharron established the clinic in 2015.
She previously worked in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery units, laterally as a Staff Grade, when she became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. During this period she also collaborated with the Gastroenterology Department of the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh on a study into the genetics of Oral Crohns Disease.
In addition to this she also achieved a Diploma in Forensic Medical Sciences via Glasgow University and a Certificate in Medical Law & Ethics via the University of Edinburgh. When she returned to general practice she obtained an additional qualification in facial aesthetics and went on to be a certified trainer in advanced procedures. Sharron has a gentle, kind manner and has built up a loyal patient base as a result.
She lives in Larbert with her husband Rob, three kids, two dogs and two cats. Her main love other than her family is music and she is an avid collector of vinyl and music memorabilia, some of which adorns the corridors in the clinic (a homage to her favourite band The Cure!)

Nicole Carlin BDS
Associate Dentist
Nicole graduated from Dundee University in 2016. Before moving to Glenbervie Dental Clinic she was an Associate dentist in Dunblane for 6 years.
Nicole's main interests are in cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers. She has done numerous postgraduate advanced courses and is committed to continually updating and upgrading her skills. She was recently chosen to be a Vocational Trainer, responsible for training and mentoring new graduates.
Nicole is accredited to provide ClearCorrect and SmileFast advanced digital treatments as well as restoring dental implants. In addition, Nicole is also an accredited facial aesthetics practitioner.
Nicole is a firm favourite amongst patients for her empathy and outstanding clinical work.
Nicole lives locally with her husband Blair and German shepherd Enzo and is about to welcome her first child.
Maria San Luis BDS
Associate Dentist
Maria graduated from the University of Santiago in Spain in 2012. She worked in general practice down south before relocating to Scotland in 2022.
Maria’s main interest is preventative dentistry as well as general dentistry and she has been on numerous postgraduate courses to keep abreast with current trends.
She has a keen interest in adult orthodontics and is an accredited Invisalign provider.
Maria lives in Edinburgh with her partner Alistair and the couple are about to welcome their first child later on in the year.
Kymberley Lee BDS
Associate Dentist
Kym graduated from Dundee University in 2023 and worked in Fife before joining us at Glenbervie Dental Clinic.
Kym’s main interests lie in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, in particular smile makeovers and adult orthodontic treatment.
Kym is committed to continually improving and updating her dental knowledge and is planning to enrol in advanced postgraduate courses in restorative dental treatment.
Kym lives locally with her fiancé Rory and in her spare time likes going to the gym and spending time with friends.
Laura Acheson BDS LLM (HCLE)
Associate Dentist
Laura graduated from the University of Dundee in 2014.
Before coming to work at Glenbervie Dental Clinic, Laura worked up north in Dingwall and Elgin, during which time she was involved in training a newly qualified dentist.
A high level of dental need amongst its patient base inspired Laura’s interest in preventative dentistry and practising ethically. This led her to pursue a degree in Healthcare Law & Ethics in which she qualified in 2022.
Laura’s main areas of interest are preventative and paediatric dentistry, and treatment of nervous patients.
She is committed to continuing her postgraduate education and has attended numerous courses, the knowledge from which she applies in her day-to-day practice.
Laura lives in West Lothian with her husband, children and the family dog. In her spare time she enjoys music, having previously been the convener of a band as an undergraduate, and has a qualification in swimming teaching.
Rebecca Carslaw BDS
Associate Dentist
Rebecca graduated from the University of Dundee in 2017. After her vocational training year she worked as an Associate Dentist in Dunblane.
She moved to Australia in 2021 where she practised as an associate dentist for four years.
Rebecca is an accredited facial aesthetics practitioner, a Six Month Smiles accredited practitioner and has a postgraduate qualification in forensic odontology.
She has recently undergone an intensive postgraduate course on anterior and posterior composite restorations.
Her main areas of interest are advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry, having undertaken numerous postgraduate courses on these subjects.
Rebecca lives in Glasgow and in her spare time has a keen interest in many sports. She enjoys running and is currently training for the London Marathon.
Katrina Hughes DipDHDT RcS Ed
Dental Therapist
Kat is one of our dental therapists, having gained her qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2009 after spending 13 years as a dental nurse.
She has a keen interest in phobic and anxious patients and gained a Diploma in Hypnosis Applied to Dentistry from University College London in 2011, after which she obtained a certificate in conscious sedation from SAAD which allows her to administer inhalation sedation to nervous patients.
Kat was one of five dental professionals invited to Liechtenstein in 2012 by Ivoclar, assisting and delivering lectures and hands-on courses.
Kat is also an accredited facial aesthetics practitioner, having won in the Scottish Aesthetics Awards in 2023. In addition to this, she is a qualified lip blush and eyebrow microblading technician.
Kat lives in Glasgow with her daughter. In her spare time, she likes to socialise with friends and go to the gym.
Joanna Smith BDS
Dental Therapist
Joanna’s main interest lies in preventative dentistry and the management of paediatric dental patients.
She is a provider of the ICON system to treat white spot lesions on teeth — a non-invasive treatment with long-lasting results for this increasingly common problem.
Joanna is also an advanced skincare accredited practitioner, providing skin boosters, microneedling, PRP, and BioRePeels, to name a few . . .
Joanna lives locally with her fiancé Jamie. In her spare time, she likes to keep fit and is a keen sports fan.
Yvonne Hardie
Practice Manager
Yvonne was a dental nurse for many years before taking on the role of practice manager in 2018.
Yvonne’s vast experience of the workings of a dental practice, along with her strong communication skills, made her the ideal candidate to oversee the day-to-day running of the practice.
As well as managing the staff, handling all the administration tasks, and ensuring patient experience and satisfaction, she helps maintain the high standard of care at the clinic and is an invaluable member of staff.
Yvonne lives locally with her partner Stuart and their two sons. When not at work, she likes socialising with friends and listening to music.
Sinead Kennedy
Deputy Practice Manager
In addition to her management duties, Sinead is a fully qualified dental nurse.
Her experience in dental practice, along with her organisational skills and forthright manner, made her the ideal choice for the role of Deputy Practice Manager.
Sinead lives locally with her fiancé Joe and their three children.
Gillian Hardie
Dental Receptionist
Gillian started working with us in 2024, having previously held retail positions.
Gillian’s brilliant organisation skills and gentle, empathetic manner make her the ideal candidate for this front-of-house position.
Gillian is our practice manager Yvonne’s sister and lives locally with her partner.
Emma Laird
Senior Dental Nurse
Prior to joining the team at Glenbervie Dental Clinic, Emma held management posts in another local dental practice.
After qualifying, she went on to achieve further qualifications in radiology and other areas.
As well as working with Sharron, she is also the clinic Implant Nurse, overseeing the patient’s journey through this process.
Emma lives locally with her partner Allan, two daughters, and their dog.
Wendy Anderson

Wendy is one of our longest-standing members of staff.
Prior to joining our team, she was the Senior Nurse in a local dental practice for a number of years.
Wendy’s vast experience in dental practice, along with her kind, empathetic manner, makes her a firm favourite amongst patients and staff.
Wendy lives locally with her husband Mark and has two children.
Jade Allison

Having previously worked in another local dental practice, Jade came to work for us on the recommendation of her mum, Wendy.
She has undertaken additional qualifications and is a qualified Implant Nurse.
Jade lives locally with her husband Michael and three sons.
Abby Miller

Abby is a dedicated dental nurse with a strong background in practice management and patient care.
Before joining our team, Abby held a management position in another local practice, gaining valuable experience in both clinical and administrative roles.
Abby is passionate about creating a welcoming environment and ensuring patients feel comfortable throughout their visits.
She lives locally with her husband and two daughters.

Before joining the clinic, she held senior nursing and management roles in other local practices, gaining a wide range of skills and knowledge.
Laura is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and supporting her colleagues in delivering a smooth and professional service.
She lives locally with her two sons and enjoys being part of the community.
