EMERGENCY EYE TESTS

Here when you need us

If you’re worried about your eyes, call 0141 880 6868 now.

For any eye concerns, your optometrist should be your first port of call. We will give you our best advice and recommend a timescale in which you need to be seen.

We have optometrists who have obtained the "independent prescriber" qualification. This means that if you require a medical prescription, we will provide that for you. There is no charge for this service. In over 90% of cases we will manage your concerns in our practice without the need for further referral.

FOCUS ON EYE HEALTH

While we’re here to help in an emergency, it’s far better to take care of your eyes with routine check-ups. Our eye care specialists will be happy to book you in for an appointment to make sure that your eyes are in good health, and we recommend having regular eye tests.

SYMPTOMS THAT NEED INVESTIGATION

If you’ve experienced a loss of vision or double vision, it’s clear that you should seek expert advice. We also strongly recommend you contact us if you’ve experienced halos around lights, flashes or floaters, headaches and eye pain, or redness on or around the eyes. These are all potentially indicators of a problem that requires attention.

OTHER SYMPTOMS

While generally less urgent, there are other symptoms that may be important and that we would recommend seeking attention for. These include blurred vision, a sensitivity to light, eye strain, or swollen eyelids. In fact, if you have any reason to feel concerned about your eye health, we recommend calling us to book an appointment.
